Short description

TA Luft 2021 stipulates that modelled data may be used for dispersion calculations in addition to measured data, provided that their suitability, quality and representativeness have been proven. The standard describes requirements for the models used to create modelled data within the meaning of TA Luft, the required input data and calculation methods. The quality of the modelled data must be verified by means of comparative dispersion calculations. The standard provides reference data for this purpose. Scores for the maximum concentrations, their location and the shape of the concentration distributions, which are calculated using the modelled data, serve as an evaluation standard. Calculation methods, quality assurance measures, validation of the data and instructions on the application of the modelled data must be documented in detail. The standard thus defines a uniform quality standard for modelled data. It enables developers to prove the suitability, quality and representativeness in the sense of TA Luft. The standard provides users of modelled data with assistance in checking their suitability for a specific application.
