This standard applies to the securing of loads on road vehicles in accordance with DIN 70010 for road freight transport with a maximum permissible mass of up to 7,5 t, regardless of whether they are equipped with a box body, a trailer body, or a flatbed body, as well as for any trailers.It is intended for consignors, carriers, loaders, vehicle owners, drivers, and those responsible for load securing and safe transport by law, regulation, contract, or other rules. The areas of responsibility are derived from national regulations, statutory provisions, and the corresponding laws and regulations of other countries in cross-border road freight transport and follow the applicable technical standards.This standard provides instructions and information on suitable procedures and methods for load securing in box vans, on vans with an open loading area, and on trailers. It describes a selection of suitable procedures and methods for load securing; it does not claim to be exhaustive.
