Short description
The standard describes the state of the art for pulp drying plants in sugar factories. Raw materials for the production of sugar in Germany are sugar beets. The scope of application extends from the extraction outlet to the end of the pulp drying process. The standard applies to the three known techniques for drying pulp, namely indirect drying (evaporation drying) and direct drying (high temperature drying) in a drum dryer and low temperature drying in a belt dryer. The standard describes the emissions and their influencing parameters in detail. The emission-reducing measures and their effects on the environment are assessed in terms of integrated environmental protection.
