Overview

The DIN EN 61800-7 series describes profiles for power drive systems (PDS) and their mapping to existing communication systems by use of a generic interface model. This part of DIN EN 61800-7 describes a generic interface between PDS and the program for controlling the application in a controller. The annexes to this standard specify the mapping of the different drive profiles types onto the generic PDS interface. The responsible committee is DKE/K 226 "Ausrüstung von Starkstromgeräten und -anlagen mit elektronischen Betriebsmitteln" ("High voltage current equipment and systems with electronic equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
