Overview

This standard applies to cutting rings as required for non-soldering compression fittings with a cutting ring as in DIN 2353. It supplements DIN EN ISO 8434-1:2008-02 with sizes and details not included therein. The standard differs from DIN 3861:2002-11 as follows: a) Figure 1 and Table 1 have been revised; b) the requirements for the surface protection have been modified; c) a new, normative Annex A, Type W port - nominal size LL16) has been included; d) the informative Annex A has become Annex B; e) the informative Annex B has been deleted; f) the standard has been editorially revised. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 082-00-07 AA "Rohrverschraubungen" ("Compression couplings") at DIN Standards Committee Piping and Boiler Plant (NARD).
