This standard specifies general requirements for setting out of buildings and their elements (for instance industrial plants and transportation facilities) and other objects. The aim of this standard is to reach agreements on setting out, to assure quality (see DIN EN ISO 9001) of setting out, to unify the verification of setting out and to achieve solid survey results. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-03-01 AA "Geodäsie" ("Geodesy") at DIN.
