Already in its 14th edition, this is the current version of “Water Supply 1”, which, together with Part 2 of DIN Taschenbuch 12, brings together all the important documents in this specialist area. Due to the rapid developments in the standardization of water supply, this edition contains a number of changes. It provides professionals with a compilation of the standards they need in their day-to-day work.

This includes basic principles as well as requirements for systems and accessories, components and construction materials as well as specifications for various procedures and information on presentation and documentation.

New or revised documents in the14th edition

Twelve new or revised documents can be found in this 14th edition of DIN Taschenbuch 12/1. This reflects the further development of the industry, in which new technologies and knowledge, together with ongoing European harmonization, are leading to changes in the standardization landscape. The DIN Taschenbuch 12/1 is available in its tried-and-true compact form, with a selection of documents that represent a valuable aid  for experts in their daily work.

The following changes are to be found in the 14th edition of “Water Supply 1”:

• 3 new standards
  The DIN 19643 series of standards for the treatment of water of swimming pools and baths has been extensively revised; Part 5 of the series is included in this compendium of standards for the first time and deals with process combinations in treatment. DIN EN 17971 on devices for in-situ generation of biocides is included in this collection of standards for the first time, and amendment A1 to DIN 19606 — in DIN Taschenbuch 12/1 as well — is also new.
• 9 revised standards
  DIN 2001-1 and its Supplement 1 have been revised, as have the standards DIN 4927 on flanged steel rising pipes, DIN 4943 on the graphical layout and documentation and the aforementioned DIN 19606 on chlorinators. In addition, Parts 1 to 4 of the DIN 19643 series of standards have been updated: new requirements, specifications and definitions and in some cases extensive changes and adaptations to the DVGW regulations were made.

The comprehensive reference book contains a detailed index as well as an index of standards and draft standards not included. This compilation provides users with a highly up-to-date compendium of standards in the field of water management.
