Betonbauteile 2025

Please note: This publication is only available in German.

The Institut für Betonbau (Institute for Concrete Construction) (IfB) at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK) traditionally organizes the biennial “Concrete Components Conference”. In 2025, the renowned conference will be held for the 15th time. Acclaimed speakers from science and the construction industry will give presentations on current developments and innovations, the current standardisation landscape and changing framework conditions relating to concrete components. The extremely interesting knowledge shared here will be made available to specialists by DIN Media in a volume of conference proceedings.

The “Concrete Components” conference proceedings for 2025 will once again cover the latest topics and developments in concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete construction, including new concrete construction materials. The information contained is by no means only relevant for conference participants; it is also a valuable source of information on news and current developments for all those working in the field of concrete components and students of related degree programmes.

The date for the 15th “Concrete Components” conference at the HTWK in Leipzig is 20th March 2025.

Exciting conference proceedings with highly topical issues

The biennial “Concrete Components Conference“ is an event that is keenly observed by experts, as the content presented is often of great relevance to the specialist audience. In these conference proceedings you will find nine presentations by invited experts covering a wide range of topics in concrete construction.

“Concrete Components 2025” provides the following benefits:

  • Overview of current trends
The presentations deal with topics that are important now and for the future of concrete construction: Conserving resources, recycling building materials and reducing CO2 emissions are what is currently shaping the concrete construction landscape. In the expert presentations, these and other highly topical aspects will be addressed in detail, comprehensibly and expertly.

  • Genuine expert knowledge
The speakers at “Concrete Components 2025“ are experts in their field and know both the theory and practice of their area of work inside out. This expertise allows for precise and reliable presentations that do not ignore reality and are of real importance for the present and future prospects of concrete construction.

With “Concrete Components 2025”, you will find a future-oriented volume full of practical facts, nicely presented by recognized experts in the concrete construction industry.

Included in this book:

  • New generations of action standards
  • Earthquake verification in concrete construction: What will change with DIN EN 1998?
  • Two-storey joints in element walls without transverse reinforcement
  • Recycling mineral building materials — opportunities and obstacles
  • Greenfront — Sustainable façade elements made of wood foam and textile-reinforced concrete
  • Life cycle assessment — comparison between prefabricated planks and prefabricated prestressed concrete slabs using the practical example of a constructed complex of buildings
  • Wireless humidity sensors for proactive structural monitoring
  • Investigations into the self-healing phenomenon of water-bearing separating cracks in reinforced concrete components
  • Design with framework models — comparison of linear and non-linear calculation

This book is for:

Conference participants, students of civil engineering, structural engineers, test engineers, test authorities, construction companies, technical schools for construction
