DIN IEC/TS 62332-3:2017-12

This Technical Specification describes a method for the thermal assessment of electrical insulation systems (EIS) for electrical equipment with a combination of liquid and solid components. Part 1 deals with general testing requirements. The following parts deal with special test requirements for equipment. Part 2 deals with a simplified test procedure that can be used as a selection test before performing the tests according to Part 1 or as a quality assurance test to evaluate minor product changes. Part 3 deals with the assessment and qualification of EIM and EIS used for motor compressors in refrigerators or air conditioning systems. This standard contains the assessment criteria which are important at high temperatures and high pressure for maintaining the operating characteristics in the refrigerator oil and refrigerant. The committee responsible is DKE/K 183 "Bewertung und Qualifizierung von elektrischen Isolierstoffen und Isoliersystemen" ("Evaluation and qualification of electrical insulating materials and systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
