DIN IEC/TS 61375-2-4:2017-11

This part of DIN EN 61375 is dedicated to the application profile in trains. It deals with the application profile of the TCN communication system, related to functions of the train control and monitoring system (TCMS), for data communication via ETB between the vehicles of said trains as well as data communication within the vehicles. Applications are provided with a data interface containing parameters and addressing options for TCMS functions as defined in the communication profile of DIN EN 61375-2-3. The application of this part of DIN EN 61375 to the defined train communication technologies enables the interoperability of individual vehicles in international rail traffic. The data communication systems within vehicles are recommended as a solution for the specified TCN. In any case, proof of interoperability between a proposed train backbone and a proposed consist network shall be provided by the supplier. This part of the standard is applicable in rolling stock requiring interoperable coupling and uncoupling. It may be additionally applicable to closed trains and multiple unit trains when so agreed between purchaser and supplier. The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 351.1 "Fahrzeuge" ("Rolling stock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
