Training content

From 20 January 2027, the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 will become mandatory and will replace the current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Companies in Germany and across all EU Member States must adapt their machines, safety concepts, software systems and documentation to the new requirements in time – including topics such as cybersecurity, AI, autonomous machines and digital safety functions.

This seminar focuses on the practical implementation of the Machinery Regulation, with reference to DIN EN ISO 12100, DIN EN ISO 13849-1 and harmonized standards – with the goal of reducing audit and supply chain risks while avoiding additional overhead in engineering.

The seminar is offered in English and therefore addresses internationally operating engineering teams within the EU as well as nationally operating engineering teams.

This seminar is conducted entirely in English and is designed for interactive learning in a group setting, allowing participants to engage closely with our expert speaker.

We also offer the same seminar in German:
Neue Maschinenverordnung: Vom Regelwerk zur effizienten Engineering-Praxis

Aims - Reasons to attend

  • Overview of the most important changes of the new Machinery Directive, including a brief introduction to the regulation

  • Understanding of the key steps required to create a CE Declaration of Conformity

  • How to efficiently integrate CE compliance, risk assessment and documentation into existing systems

  • Insights from practical examples showing how the directive can be implemented efficiently within a system

  • Discussion on how the presented approaches can be transferred to your own company and engineering organization

Who should attend this training?

  • Employees in engineering, design and development with involvement in CE compliance and risk assessment

  • Professionals in quality management, product safety and certification

  • Project managers and technical decision makers responsible for integrating regulatory requirements into existing systems

  • Companies aiming to structure and improve the efficiency of their approach to the Machinery Directive
