Short description
In order to create controlled environmental conditions, large volumes of air are often required in high purification quality. The energy requirements of cleanrooms are correspondingly high. This standard focuses on the potential for energy savings in cleanrooms. It serves as a guideline and recommendation for minimising the use of energy in new and existing clean areas, including the associated ventilation and air-conditioning technology. This standard is applicable to the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of cleanrooms in the electronics, aerospace, nuclear, pharmaceutical, hospital, medical device, and food industries as well as other clean air applications.
